Binance ethereum transaction fee11/18/2023 ![]() For comparison, major credit card provider networks can process thousands or tens of thousands of transactions per second. In order to maximize the advantages of decentralization and security, the Ethereum network compromises somewhat on scalability - its ability to cope with an increase in the number of users and transactions.Ĭurrently, Ethereum can only process somewhere in the neighborhood of 14-15 transactions per second. This is called the “Blockchain Trilemma.” ![]() ![]() The three main benefits of blockchain projects are decentralization, security, and scalability, but that it’s usually necessary to compromise one of these things to an extent for the sake of the other two. Gas fees probably wouldn’t be seen as a pain point if they were only a nominal, consistent, predictable surcharge on every ETH transaction. If fees play such an important role in making the Ethereum blockchain work reliably, why are they a topic of discussion and controversy within the Ethereum community? Gas fees ensure that the critical work of validation continues for the benefit of all users. In short, validation of the Ethereum blockchain takes work, and like all essential work, those who get it done need to be compensated. Under the new validation system, gas fees are now given as rewards to users who stake ETH in their wallets and serve as validators. In September of 2022, after years of preparation and delays, Ethereum transitioned to a proof-of-stake (PoS) consensus mechanism. Under PoW, miners received gas fees as compensation for validating transactions. Up until the latter half of 2022, the Ethereum blockchain used a proof-of-work (PoW) consensus mechanism. However, the work of validation itself requires computational power. The system a blockchain project uses for validation is called a consensus mechanism or consensus algorithm because it ensures all parts of the distributed computing network that make up a blockchain are in agreement about each user’s holdings and transactions. Therefore, a system must be implemented to verify the authenticity of trades and ownership of coins or tokens for each user on the network. Validation is one of the key challenges, as there is no centralized "ledger" for tracking each user's holdings and transactions. The decentralized nature of cryptocurrency has some big advantages, but it also creates practical problems that must be overcome for crypto holders and users to trust that their funds and transactions are safe. To explain why gas fees are needed to make the “engine” of the Ethereum blockchain run, let’s review some blockchain basics. ![]() Even using your credit card typically has a transaction fee you just don’t think about it because merchants usually eat these small costs (which is why some businesses offer a discount for paying cash).īut if the point of a cryptocurrency is to be decentralized, why do you have to pay a transaction fee? Many other types of financial transactions also require a surcharge. In essence, “gas” represents the amount of computational power required for a user to carry out some type of interaction with the network, such as completing a transaction or executing a smart contract.Gas fees are paid in ether (ETH), Ethereum’s native currency.Ī more general term for gas fees might be “transaction fees” or “execution fees.” However, since such terminology could also refer to other types of charges, most Ethereum-specific resources and Ethereum users stick to the term “gas” for the fees that drive Ethereum. The term gas is used because these charges serve to “fuel” the work that is required to make the Ethereum blockchain continue functioning. Gas fees on cryptocurrencies are not too different from the ones drivers pay at the pump. This post will explain what crypto traders need to know about gas fees as simply as possible. To understand these fees, you need to understand the mechanics of how the Ethereum blockchain works, including some history of the platform and the plans for its continued evolution. ETH is one of the most popular cryptocurrencies, second only to Bitcoin, and gas fees have long been a hot topic in the community.īut what are gas fees, and why are they talked about so much by ETH traders and others using the Ethereum blockchain? If you’ve done any research on Ethereum and its associated cryptocurrency ETH, there’s a good chance that you’ve come across references to Ethereum gas fees. What are Ethereum gas fees, why are they necessary, and why are they a pressing topic?

Elixir ecto changeset11/17/2023 Changesets simplify validation rules which may alternate depending on the context. We may cover these in a future, advanced lesson, but in the meantime we encourage you to explore Ecto Changeset’s documentation for more information. Another tool that Im a big fan of is Ectos and its Changesets system. There are a lot of use cases and functionality that we did not cover in this lesson, such as schemaless changesets that you can use to validate any data or dealing with side-effects alongside the changeset ( prepare_changes/2) or working with associations and embeds. ![]() registration_changeset ( params ) |> Repo. Smart alarm clock for kids11/17/2023 Chirping birds, lullabies, and wind in the trees sounds are wonderful options for the sound machine aspect of this clock, but they just don't work as effectively as a classic, loud alarm tone. I tried all the sounds on offer and raised the volume to the maximum level, but none of the lovely choices were capable of waking up either of my children. While the Hatch Rest+ offers an impressive selection of 11 sound effects, it lacks a classic alarm sound. This enabled me to create both a "weekend" and "weekday" alarm program so that I didn't have to remember to turn off or change an alarm on days when the kids didn't have to get up for school. I found the app intuitive and easy to use, and I loved (loved!) that parents are able to create separate schedules for different days of the week. The Hatch Rest+ integrates with a companion app, which is necessary to do anything with this clock other than control brightness and volume. This is the ultimate multi-functional gadget, in that it offers all of the same capabilities of the LittleHippo Mella-alarm, OK to wake clock, white noise, nightlight-but it can also be used as a two-way audio baby monitor. If you want an alarm clock that can take your child from infancy through college, the Hatch Rest+ is the way to go. That being said, it's incredibly easy to turn off with a quick push of the "alarm" button, you just have to remember to do it on a set schedule. Once you set the alarm, it's active until you manually turn it off, which means we had a number of weekend mornings where my 7-year-old woke up before she had to because I forgot to disable the alarm. The one thing the LittleHippo Mella is lacking, however, is the ability to set an alarm schedule. The sound is a classic white noise-almost identical to the Marpac Dohm white noise machines-which makes the Mella a great option if you're looking to minimize gadgets. It didn't seem to be significantly louder, but something about the tone of the Mella's alarm made it the best choice for waking kids up and getting them out of bed in time for an early school drop off.Īnother feature that I really appreciated about the Mella is the built-in white noise machine that can be easily activated with the push of a button. While some of the other models worked from time to time, the Mella worked every time. One of the biggest reasons the Mella took the top spot is because it is the only alarm clock we tested that was consistently loud enough to wake kids out of a deep slumber. As proven by my two kids, you can have a kid who gets up with the sun and one who would sleep the day away, and the Mella can serve both of their needs. ![]() While it can be tempting to buy a kids' clock that serves just one purpose-either to help them wake up or keep them in bed, depending on the sleep issue you're facing-having a multi-functional clock like the Mella is far more practical in the long run. It was simple to set up and easy to find the snooze button even when half asleep. It works as both a sleep trainer as well as a traditional alarm clock, has a built-in night light and a white noise machine. While that may not sound like a big deal, if you want your kids to use an alarm clock, you're going to need their buy-in, and-as we discovered with some other models we tested-they were far less inclined to put the clock in their room if they didn't like the way it looked.Īside from its cuteness quotient, the Mella has a lot going for it. ![]() Both my kids loved the cute face on the digital display-and even kids who came over for a playdate were intrigued by it. This is the clock that can take you from the toddler years through the big kid years. With a cute design that appealed to my kids, a built-in white noise machine, an alarm clock and an OK to wake clock, the LittleHippo Mella can help with a variety of sleep issues.įor an alarm clock that really can do it all, you can't beat the LittleHippo Mella. After weeks of early mornings-as well as a dreaded time change-we found that the LittleHippo Mella We tested six popular alarm clocks for kids to see if there really is an ideal alarm clock for early risers and sleepy heads alike. ![]() Is it possible that there's a magical clock that would be effective at keeping an early bird in bed, while also serving up enough noise to wake a sleeping beauty? If you're a parent who is at their wit's end because your 9-year-old wakes up before the sun (hello, me) or your 7-year-old never wakes up in time for school (also me), you may be wondering if an alarm clock designed just for kids could be the answer to your problems. Whether it's a toddler getting up too early or a tweenager getting up too late, there's no end to the sleep related issues that keep parents constantly exhausted.

Laundromat open late near me11/17/2023 ![]() But with a bit of fore thought, you might find that there are a number of things you want in a laundromat. Many people, if they’re asked what they’re looking for in a laundry, will answer with a confused look or a statement of “a place to wash my clothes”. That will help you narrow down your search, but that doesn’t necessarily mean you know what you should be looking for. Or something like “ coin laundry near me that also sells laundry supplies”, if you’re hoping to also purchase things like detergent and fabric softener. Type in how many washing machines you’d be looking for, such as “laundromats near me with thirty machines or more”. Try narrowing your search to not just laundromats, but also the features you want. You might want to check a few more things. However, just because it’s close doesn’t mean it’s the best place to go. And if all you want is the laundromat to be near you, then you’re good to go. That will certainly get you the address of a few coin laundromats that are near you, perhaps some even in walking distance. ![]() That’s why it’s important you don’t just go to Google and type “24 hour laundromat near me” with “near me” being replaced by whatever your address is. This is important, because you don’t want to just find a coin laundry near me. However, many people don’t realize that they’re not using Google right. It’s simply easier to check your phone or your tablet and find out where a nearby business is. This is because of how common internet capable devices are in this day and age. Most people use Google to find information on local businesses these days. Using The Internet To Find A Laundry Near Me Because not all laundromats are made equal. There are a few ways you can find one, and there are a few things you should look for when you’re considering whether or not to use one. If you’re in any of these situations, then you may have had reason to wonder “is there a laundromat near me?” It’s a valid question when you don’t have one in your home or apartment. There are people who either live in an apartment building without a washer and dryer hookup in each unit, or simply live in a house with several roommates and need to wash their clothes immediately. While there are many people throughout the United States who can afford to have a washing machine and dryer in their homes, there are many more who can’t. Ive called dozens of times.Finding The Right Laundromat Is More Than Google Searching “24 Hour Laundromat Near Me” Is now available for the community to see. So what could have been a private complaint. Big items that are not easliy misplaced unlike socks or underware.God provides in abundance. The only reason I post reviews is because the owner doesnt return calls. For a response from corporate.Update Upon Returning to the clean laundry after I post my review, nothing has change I see a lot more people are placing the same complaints. Cause representation is costly.I would add photos, but I'll wait. It is like the mom and son go out there way to create hardships for customers.Let's just say that if this is a franchise, choose your business partners carefully. I watched the son within the last few minutes at 6 pm stop people from using the last free session of the dryer. Treat customers disrespectful, even the elderly. They have free Tuesday and Thursday dryers end at 6pm. The manager and staff do nothing about it.I have literally seen both the mom and son create arguments with customers. Customers leave their clothes for hours after the machine has stopped. It's the most selfish thing I have ever seen. I appreciate the Akins family for expanding across the country. However, hiring the wrong staff kills their business.Sometimes, you have weird customer issues like customers using the dry as a folding station. If they hire better staff, I would give it a five-star.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️The concept, build, and structure are hands down amazing. Dead roaches detergent spills & trash on the floor, just awaiting a slip & fall law suit. You know how people are just not mentally stable. Try to avoid the two of them at all cost. I record every time I go there for my own safety. They truly have mental issues. The mother and son both create issues with so many customers.Never a professional interaction or descalated resolve of issue. Never a proper greeting They do not keep the facility clear of debris. The mother always has a disapproving expression on her face with an attitude. The son is almost always sagging his pants, showing his behind like actual flesh. The staff at the Lee rd location are rude, unprofessional, and nasty.

Create friends list on facebook11/17/2023 Any lists you create and populate remain private. Now that you understand lists, you may want to create your own Friend lists. You can edit these lists and add or remove people as it makes sense for you, but remember: These lists send notifications when you add people to them (and Facebook asks them to reciprocate by adding you to their lists). Or contacts that also list your place of employment will show up in the Work list. For example, your Facebook friends who list the same high school as you show up in the High School list. The other default lists are populated by Facebook based on your Facebook connections who also have those items listed. If you ever feel like you aren’t seeing enough of the updates from people on your Acquaintance Lists, you can either move those people to your Close Friends List, or you can go to your left sidebar and click the Acquaintance list to see the updates from people on that list.
